MONITORING AND EVALUATION

Community Capacity Building Initiative has a strong M&E team that covers several disciplines, including but not limited to malaria, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), agriculture and food security, and the environment.

The monitoring and evaluation component of CCBI’s programmes focuses on implementation/operational research. A continuous data monitoring on programmes aims at keeping track of changes for proper assessments on successes and challenges faced by community programmes.

  • Train CBOs, NGOs and FBOs on data management and monitoring and evaluation for programs in malaria, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), agriculture and food security, and the environment
  • Assess the community units for community programmes, in line with the national community health strategy that have the triple burden - high malaria prevalence; and low access, inadequate coverage and quality of public health facilities
  • Assess the level at which the training of CBOs as CORPs has enhanced their ability to create demand at community level on utilization of services on malaria, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), agriculture and food security, and the environment
  • Assess community initiatives for behaviour change on disease diagnosis and treatment
  • Assess the level at which communities have been sensitized, mobilized and organized to ensure leadership support and awareness of their rights and responsibilities in health
  • Assess the level of partnerships between CBOs, CHWs, Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), and the public and private health facilities, and other local level systems, to improve coordination, enhance impact, and avoid duplication of service delivery for malaria, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), agriculture and food security, and the environment
  • Evaluate impact of community programmes for malaria, HIV and AIDS, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), agriculture and food security, and the environment
